I think it's a brown bear, but I'm not sure. I learned after the trip that you can tell a brown bear track from a black bear track because you can draw a straight line between the claws and the pads of a brown bear. It's a bit close in this picture, but I think that black bear claws are much closer to the pads.
Whatever color, this is the bear's front paw, and that's my front paw.
