The salmon are waiting to go over the dam on Ship Creek (and I'm standing on the dam). There's no fishing allowed within 100 feet of the dam, and there's a cable across the creek at the 100 foot mark downstream. There were all these guys lined up with their fishing poles on the other side of the cable, just holding their lines in the water waiting for a salmon to bite. It didn't look very challenging, but perhaps it's an easy way to catch some salmon for dinner.
