This was our first sighting of mountains and it was pretty stupendous. I think we were flying over the Wrangell and St. Elias ranges, but I'm not sure. The glaciers are odd because they actually make the mountains look quite small since they look like rivers but are insanely larger than any river in the world -- it throws off your sense of scale, especially from an airplane.
