There are lots of these little groundcover dogwoods all over the land around Prince William Sound. They're just a few inches high and only have a few leaves. There are also a lot of small ferns (again, just a few inches high) that look like they should get big, but I don't think they will. A few days later, we saw some immense ferns (four feet high and five or six feet wide).
