The main purpose of this site is actually to host mini-sites for family and friends who need them. Unfortunately, because of the nasty and unpredictable nature of spamrobotengines, if I link directly to those mini-sites, spammers will find them and all those blogs will be exposed to pornographic spam comments and email harvesting. To protect them from computerized prying eyes, I'm employing a complicated and possibly useless system. Hopefully it is just complicated enough that computers can't work it without human intervention, but not so complicated that you, a friendly person reading this, can't figure it out. Probably just the opposite will end up being true.

Either way, here's how it works:
I write out the address as if I were speaking it, except I abbreviate "ikenberry" to "ike", and I put it in brackets so you can see where it starts and stops. You type it in your browser's address bar without spaces (and dropping the brackets), and with verbal punctuation converted to written punctuation. For example, [people dot maria ike dot com] would become people.mariaikenberry.com. Usually, if you're looking for a specific person, you can prepend that name to mariaikenberry.com (eg, specificname.mariaikenberry.com) and find their site. It only doesn't work if I'm using a different name than you are, or if the site isn't here at all!

Nolan's site is where you'll find most of my energy going these days... You can find him at [nolan dot maria ike dot com]. Check out the pictures!

You may know him as LaRue Haigler. To me, he's Uncle Rooster, so you'll find his site at [rooster dot maria ike dot com]. The world lost the best uncle it ever saw when he died in early 2005. This is the blog I created to keep everyone in touch when he was fighting lung cancer in 2004. It got tossed up in cyberspace pretty quickly and never got past 1st grade styling, but it served its purpose and served it well. And, yeah, Uncle Roo is (one of) the namesake(s) for Nolan LaRue.

Thank goodness, it's a website about someone who isn't sick! Rowan is one fine boy, and you can find him at his own domain name ([rowan crites dot com]) or you can find him at [rowan dot maria ike dot com]. Not much activity here, but sometimes Lolly is kind enough to update the pictures for us... Sometimes.

Well, there's not actually anything there right now, but someday I'll get something in place. It's the virtual home of the current and former residents of the House of Five, and it's at [house of five dot maria ike dot com]. Or you can shortcut there by [house of five dot com].
